Need a Ride? We ProVide!
Funding is provided in part by INDOT, Pulaski County Commissioners, Medicaid, fares and donations. Drivers are trained and certified as Master Drivers which includes training in passenger assistance techniques, CPR, first aid, defensive driving and school bus safety. All drivers have commercial or public passenger driver's licenses. They are committed to safety, they are friendly and care about every rider. Lift equipped vehicles available.
What is the ACPTS Demand Response Transportation Service?
This service provides demand response curb-to-curb or door to door transportation services for the residents of Pulaski County from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Outside service hours available by appointment.
FARES and PASSES
Demand Response
Regular Fare in Pulaski County: $1.00 per boarding
Passes in Pulaski County: $40.00/month $20.00/month 60 or over, disabled
Routine Services
available by standing reservation. Rates vary per month based on number of days of service request. Ask for rates when calling or coming in to complete documents to enroll in these services.
Personal Care Attendants and minor children riding with parents ride FREE.
TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE IN PULASKI COUNTY Getting a RIDE is EASY!
1. Call 574-946-6500 or TOLL FREE for long distance at 1-877-946-4211 24 hour advanced notice recommended for in county service.
2. For out of county services call at least one week in advance to insure availability of service.
3. We need your name, address, phone, where you are going, when you want to go, if you need a lift equipped vehicle. If you are 60 or over, Title III Older Americans Act funds are available for your ride. If you are a medicaid recipient and needing a medical trip, be sure to let us know.
4. Know what time you would want a ride and approximate time of return.

8:00 A.M.- 4 P.M. MONDAY THRU FRIDAY CALL BY 9 A.M. FOR IN-COUNTY, PREFERENCE FOR 24 HOURS NOTICE Service outside regular hours is available with approval.
PCHS ACPTS RIDERS GUIDE
To assist us with on-time service, we ask you be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. We also recommend you schedule your ride with us with ample time to arrive at your appointment to avoid being late.
Rider's requesting the lift vehicle are to be ready at their door of their home or facility when the vehicle arrives.
Public transit is on a first come first serve basis.
Canceling your TRIP:
If it is necessary for to change your travel plans, call us at least 2 hours prior to pick up time as no shows are subject to fare payment.
PCHS generally follows the school closures for the safety of our riders in inclement weather. Closings are announced on WKVI 99.3 FM, WROI 92.1
PCHS is closed for all services on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Basic transit policies:
Drivers can not assist with large parcels or enter your home. (unless otherwise arranged)
Groceries are limited to three bags per passenger.
If you need assistance, we ask you bring an escort at no fee.
No animals except assistive ones are allowed on the vehicles.
