Energy Assistance Programs
In cooperation with North Central Community Action Agency, Pulaski
County Human Services provides intake services to enroll in the Low
Income Energy Assistance Program which consists of several programs.
Winter heating assistance: the provision of monetary payments
to heating and or electric vendors based on a matrix of points for the
household once eligibility is determined. The guidelines for gross
income are based on the Office of Management and Business for the
federal government. Households must qualify at 125% of poverty or less.
Applicants must have proof of income, residence (rental or owned),
social security numbers/birth dates, and utility information to
complete an application.
Crisis assistance: additional funds allocated to provide help with past due or bulk fuel delivery if eligible and in need.
Summer fill: delivery of bulk fuel at summer prices for households already enrolled or new applicants
Summer cool: $50 payment on electric for elderly, disabled or children 5 or under
Leveraging: dollars generated by the provision of local
support from an array of sources such as trustee, organizations or
individuals. Funds are used for fans and air conditioners for eligible
households meeting specific criteria.
Weatherization: provided by North Central Community Action
Agency, PCHS initiates preliminary information and referral to link
customers with this program. Services include such activities as energy
related home repair, insulating, etc.

schedule an appointment with you. Where needed, referral to other
programs such as Winter Warmth, Gift of Warmth or other local
assistance will be completed as part of our Family Development Program.
